Inside-Out.
SHIFT prides itself on being an integrator. We work at the intersection of HR, Workspace Design, and Branding to develop ‘frameworks of change’ for companies prepared to make the shift to business 2.0
Because we focus on the building blocks of organizational design- the people, where they work, how they work, even the purpose of their work- we refer to our consulting process as Inside-Out. We start by asking Peter Drucker’s foundational question, What is the purpose of your business? From there we set out to reconnect that purpose with the rapidly change, post-recession business environment.
We focus on:
1.Talent Management & the Leadership Challenge of the SHIFT
Assessing the talent profile with an eye on balancing creatives with analyticals and Boomers with Millennials and Gen X. We advise clients on building a just-in-time talent pipeline to streamline costs and increase agility. We also provide Leadership Development Programs that help senior managers make sense of the changing expectations, changing roles, and changing values that make up the shift.
2. Collaborative Workspaces
We conduct workspace effectiveness surveys with an eye to helping companies build open and collaborative work environments. Gen Y and Gen X talent prefers to work in teams in collaborative workspaces, and effective talent management strategies factor this into the equation. High performance teams work as teams, and we take the space part of teamwork very seriously.
3. Community Management
Young talent today values community @ work more so than perhaps any previous generation. Understanding this, and encouraging open communication across the organization and between the organization and customers via social media is now mandatory. SHIFT works with clients to align internal brand messaging with external brand messaging to generate trust and transparency across the broad (employee/customer) community.
